Why study at Acıbadem University School of Medicine?                        

Turkey recently underwent a health care reform (“Transition in Health”) with the “family physician system” being implemented for primary health care services throughout the country. The Department of Family Medicine has an academic GP network for organizing clinical clerkships and research projects in primary health care centers (called family health centers “Aile Sağlığı Merkezi”) of the MoH. The department will open its own community based family medicine outpatient clinic affiliated to the Medical School in the 2^nd half of 2013 where clinical clerkships and research electives will also be possible. Acıbadem University School of Medicine is affiliated to the Acıbadem Hospital Group, which enables health system research comparing primary to secondary care. Not to mention that Istanbul is an experience on its own.
